Paul Kroenke

Principle - Kroenke, LLC

Paul Kroenke has over twenty years of experience working for
general contractors and construction managers in Chicago,
estimating, scheduling and managing some of the industry’s
most interesting and complex projects.

Paul began his career in the trades at the age of 14 as a
painter working for his step-father. During his college career
at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Paul worked as a
draftsman for a Chicago based MEP/FP design engineering
firm, specializing in electrical drafting and lighting design.
Over his four years with the firm, he worked on such large
scale healthcare projects as Provena St. Joseph’s hospital,
and the expansion of Central DuPage Hospital.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Architectural
Engineering from IIT, Paul went to work for a local general
contracting firm as an estimator, specializing in Chicago Public
Schools, Public Building Commission and Chicago Housing
Authority projects. During this time, he also began pursuing
his Master’s Degree from IIT in Construction Management.

Next, Paul made a move to become the Chief Estimator for Old Veteran Construction, specializing in
federal government work, primarily for the Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Veteran’s
Administration. Old Veteran Construction self-performed masonry and masonry restoration, trades that
added to Paul’s growing experience in the business. During this period in his career, notable projects that
Paul was involved in include the Scott Air Force Base SDDC Temporary Facility, the Great Lakes Atlantic
Fleet Drill Hall, and the Rock Island National Cemetery Expansion.

After several successful years, Paul was approached by a former associate working for a local
construction manager that specialized in high end residential work and private development. Sensing an
opportunity to learn more about the business, and to work on some very unique projects, Paul decided to
move on, and continued to cultivate his abilities. While working for this company, Paul fine-tuned his
skills in both estimating and scheduling, while becoming proficient in managing fast-paced, intricate, and
very detailed projects. During this period, Paul notably worked on the Barney’s New York Chicago
Flagship Store, the Urban Beach House, the Renovation of the W Hotel City Center, and the National
Hellenic Museum.

Following his work on the National Hellenic Museum, Paul was approached by a local minority-owned
general contractor with the opportunity to serve as Vice President. Building the company from the
ground-up, Paul won and managed $10 million worth of work before setting out on his own and starting
Kroenke, LLC. Entering into the marketplace on a referral, Paul has built his reputation on honesty,
value, and performance, earning referral after referral from one client to the next. Since breaking into the
market in 2013, Kroenke, LLC has successfully completed over $65 million worth of construction projects
between General Contracting and Construction Management services.
